Community Stewardship

On Your Own
The city of Seattle has a number of wonderful programs to contribute the to the city. It can be difficult to find them and navigate the process.
If you want to participate, we’re here to help.
-
With a Group
We make it our business to know about ways to get involved and contribute. If you want to join a work party in the forest, participate in a community cleanup or have something else in mind let us know and we’ll connect you.
If we don’t know we’ll learn together.

Behind the Scenes
Don’t want to do it yourself but want to support the effort to make the city more bike and walk friendly?
We can help with that.
We’re always working on projects and are happy to have everyone participate in a way that works for them.
At your own pace
There are a lot of ways to get involved. The first step is to join us and say you want to help. With a phone this problem could be submitted to the city and address. The issue is that no one has said anything yet. Step one is the desire to change and willingness to take action.
There are lots of ways to get involved, Find It Fix It tells the city there is an issue.
Citizen science is a way to make a contribution with a picture. iNaturalist can help scientists and the King County noxious weeds track the invasive species.
Behind the Scenes
There are a number of high bike and foot traffic spots around the city that need a little extra attention. With help from SBN members letting us know there is an issue we can work on addressing it. This sidewalk just needed a little help finding itself again.
